ABOUT THE OWNER:
Laura Skelton is the designer-maker behind prix-prix, the company she started in July 2007. Currently prix-prix is based in New Orleans, LA. Before starting prix-prix she worked for Stanley Tigerman doing sustainable architecture in Chicago. She graduated from Columbia University in 2006 with a major in Architecture. During her studies at Columbia in 2005, Laura did a design internship with Peter Eisenman Architects. She loves to design and make things, and is especially interested in making lovely things out of recycled and sustainable materials. She loves knitting, vegan cooking, making herself dresses, and brewing homemade beer. Prix-prix is a nickname her friends gave her in high school, around the time she first started designing clothes made from old jeans and neckties.
